I recently read this book, written in the 19th century, and was amazed at how well the author was able to put his thoughts to paper on such a difficult subject. It’s hard enough to just think about it, but to actually write on it is simply amazing to me.

The book is set in a 2-dimensional world, everything is a line to their perspective. They have no concept of height. Their whole world consists of lines, triangles, squares, pentagons, hexagons and other such figures. The King is a circle.

The story progresses until our hero, a square, is able to enter a 3-dimensional world and his eyes are opened to the possibilities, even to the point that he understand dimensions better than the 3-dimensional beings.

The book was first introduced to me by Chuck Missler, as an introduction to understanding hyper-dimensions.

    The journey continues.
